Why we love living Casa Lila style, in Mendoza…

We’ve been making the most of our new living room/dining room these past few days here at the comfiest, snuggliest, nicest little boutique hotel in Mendoza, Casa Lila. Seriously, it’s so pretty and peaceful here that the rest of Mendoza feels a million miles away, even though it’s right outside the door. We may have spent a little too much time working on the couch… OK so we had a bottle of wine or three while we were doing it…

We were only supposed to be staying a few days but we ended up staying longer because it’s really like being at home (only nicer and with the dog I was never allowed to have). These arty photos were taken by Autumn while I was doing something else constructive… like playing with the dog.

Casa Lila is run by the gorgeous Pablo and Mariela, who have the cuuuuutest little daughter Josephina, and a dog called Olivia. They also live here, and designed the hotel to be like an extension of their house, making everyone who comes here their personal guests!

Casa Lila is walking distance of pretty much everything you need to see and do in Mendoza, and the lovely Pablo has been helping us organise all our excursions, like the bike and wine tour we did yesterday. He showed us how to book bus tickets too, because unfortunately we have to leave our new home soon and head over those pretty Andes for Chile. All good things must come to an end.

Like I said, all of these amazing photos were taken by Autumn Mooney. You can see them better on her website! They’re better when they’re bigger. There will also be more soon. You have to see the garden…
